SPECIALIZED OVERNIGHT CAMPS 2026

Barnabas (Camp), Registering NOW – Specialized Youth and Adult Overnight Camp,Purdy, MO near Springfield, MO (map). Weeks are available for ages 7-adult from May 31-August 7, 2026. Cost $1,500 per week with $100 deposit required to hold your slot. Early bird discounts and scholarships available through camp office. We invite people with disabilities and chronic illnesses to experience a Christian summer camp with activities adapted so each person, regardless of ability, can participate. Each week is geared to a specific age range and a set of diagnoses. Campers are matched one-on-one with a volunteer Missionary so they can get the full support they need. We have a full medical facility with nurses and doctors equipped to accommodate any medical needs. Special diets can be accommodated. Sibling weeks are available so families can enjoy camp together. Courage (Camp), Taking Applications Now – Specialized Adult Mini Camp, Stewartsville, near Kansas City, MO (map). June 18-22, 2026, Cost $250. Camp Courage is a 4-day/3-night, specialized summer camping program for adults AGES 21 AND OLDER with special needs, including Down syndrome, birth defects, cognitive delays and high functioning Autism. Participants must be able to walk, shower, dress and feed themselves independently. DASA, Camp WeCanDu, Registration opens mid March, 2026 – Specialized Youth and Teen Overnight Camp, Babler State Park, St. Louis, MO. June 14-19, 2026, Cost: $350 early bird and $400 regular fee, $50 deposit required to hold spot. Disabled Athlete Sports Association (DASA) Camp WeCanDu provides children living with cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, visual impairments, and many other forms of physical disabilities come together at camp to create a fun and engaging social support system and discover natural abilities that stay with them for a lifetime. Encourage (Camp) , Camper Applications open NOW – Specialized Youth Overnight Mini-camp, Heartland Retreat Center in Parkville, MO, near Kansas City, MO (map). Camp Encourage is for ages 10-18 who are on the Autism Spectrum and are active and independent. One day overnights: March 21-22, 2026 & Oct 10-11, 2026 at a cost of $625. Guardian (Camp) , Camper Applications open NOW – Specialized Youth and Adult Overnight Camp, in St. Louis, MO, for all ages. Monday-Friday, June 22-26, 2026, at Babler State Park, Outdoor Education Center. Cost: FREE due to generous donations. Campers MUST apply by May 1, 2026. Your application does not guarantee a slot in camp. Campers are notified of acceptance at camp. Staffed by dedicated volunteers affiliated with the Missouri National Guard, we provide a FREE week of summer overnight camp for individuals of all ages with special needs. Our camp is designed to accommodate a wide range of physical and developmental disabilities that meet the unique needs of each camper, and we are committed to ensuring that each one leaves camp with a sense of belonging. Heartland Camp, Camper Applications open NOW – Specialized Adult Overnight Mini Camp, Kansas City, MO – Friendship Camp for Adults With Disabilities, August 4-7, 2026. Cost: $665. Camp needs a $100 deposit to hold your slot in camp. This is a Christian Camp where campers participate in daily activities including Bible study, worship, swimming, crafts, games, carnival, dance party, and a final talent show to end the week. Hickory Hill (Camp), Central Missouri Diabetic Children’s Camp, Camper Applications coming soon – Specialized Youth and Teen Overnight Camp, Columbia, MO – for ages 7-17 with diabetes. June 21-27, 2026 for ages 13-17; June 28-July 4, 2026 for ages 7-12. Cost: Sliding scale fee from $400-$1,200 depending on family income. Joni and Friends, MO Family Retreat, Registering NOW – Specialized Overnight Family Retreat; Rocky Mount, MO – (map). August 4-8, 2026. Cost: $410 per person which includes housing, meals, activities, t-shirt, goody bag, and a 1:1 buddy during program times for family members with disabilities. Joni and Friends Family Retreat offers a safe and accepting environment where you will find fellowship with other families who face similar challenges, build lasting memories, and renew your hope in God. Lighthouse for the Blind S.O.A.R. Camp: S.O.A.R. Application and Personal Essay must be submitted by February 20, 2026Specialized Overnight Summer Program for Youth ages 16-21 with Vision Impairments, St. Louis MO.  June 7–27, 2026 held at Webster University. This 3-Week intensive camp is specifically designed for individuals who intend to live independently, seek competitive employment and/or attend a vocational training program or college upon graduation from secondary school. Meramec Adventure Camp, Camper Applications open NOWSpecialized Weeklong Overnight Camp for Youth with Autism, Steelville, MO – June 26-30, 2026, for ages 7 and older. Camp cost is $980 per camper. The nonrefundable deposit is $100. This summer program is designed to be an extraordinary opportunity for your child to relax, enjoy the great outdoors, and more importantly, develop awareness, self-efficacy, outdoor knowledge, and social skills. Mitiog (Camp), Registration begins April 1, 2026Specialized Youth and Teen Overnight Camp for those with Spina Bifida, – Excelsior Springs, MO. July 13-18, 2026. Cost: Contact the camp. Camp MITIOG is a week-long camp for children ages 8-16 living with spina bifida. During their week of camp, children participate in camping activities including swimming, fishing, canoeing, arts and crafts, nature classes, classes on self-help medical care and evening campfires. Camp MITIOG is held at Lake Doniphan Conference and Retreat Center which is located in Excelsior Springs, Missouri and provides a wheelchair accessible environment.  Camp Mitiog Information

MoVal (Camp), Adventures in the Community, Registering NOW – Specialized Overnight Retreat Camp for Adults ages 18 and older – Union, MO. Dates: July 19-23, 2026. Cost: $682 with $200 deposit to hold your slot. While exploring their faith, individuals participate in many traditional camp activites including; swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, fishing, games, karaoke, and more. Most who attend have some form of developmental disability and activites are modified for each camper’s ability and needs. No Limits (Camp), Camper Applications open NOW – Specialized Overnight Family Camp, Lake Forest, ILL – June 18-21, 2026. Cost: $500 per person. Camp No Limits was developed to address the needs of children with limb loss/limb difference and their families and provide an opportunity to meet other families. We offer programs designed by specialized Occupational and Physical Therapists, Prosthetists, and adults with limb loss/limb difference. Camp No Limits runs camps more camp weeks in various states. Rainbow (Camp) for St. Louis Children’s Hospital Patients with Cancer and Blood Disorders, Registering NOW Specialized Overnight Youth and Family Camps, held at overnight camp locations in the Missouri area. Family Mini-Camp on February 27-March 1, 2026; Youth Patient Camp ages 4-14 on May 31-June 3, 2026; Sibling Camp for ages 4-15 on June 7-10, 2026. Camp is for children with a pediatric cancer or blood-related disease and their families. Roehr (Camp) , Camper Applications open NOW and must be completed by May 8, 20262026 Camper Application Specialized Youth and Teen Overnight Camp, Potosi, MO – for youth ages 6-17 with Epilepsy. June 6-12 2026. Cost: $500 with scholarships available. Camp Roehr is a seven-day residential is a week at YMCA Camp Lakewood in Potosi, MO and is sponsored by the Southern Illinois Epilepsy Foundation. Special Olympics Summer Sports Camp, Registering NOW – Specialized Youth and Adult Overnight Camp, Jefferson City, MO – for all ages. Gary Brimer Summer Sports Camp, DATES: July 12-17, 2026, COST: $300 with scholarships available. 2026 Registration ~ This camp is for Special Olympics athletes to experience high intensity activities including sports, fishing, art, nature, health, and more. Camp Courage Mini Camp is a 3-day camp specifically catered for athletes with low motor skills with a focus on sports such as bocce, basketball and track and field. Succeed Summer Enrichment Program at UMSL, Registering NOW – Specialized Overnight Young Adult Challenge, St. Louis, MO – for youth entering college, ages 17-22. Dates: June 8-12, 2026 & July 13-17, 2026 ~ Cost: $630. Sunnyhill Adventures Camp, Registering NOW – Specialized Adult Overnight Camp – Dittmer, MO (map). Eight adult weeks from June 14-August 7, 2026; One youth week August 9-14, 2026. Cost: $1,500 per week, with early Bird discount of $200 if registered by March 31. Sunnyhill Adventures offers a combination of high-rope challenges, fishing, archery, and other activities the outdoor for the enthusiast with the comforts of air conditioned cabins and a warm bed. Wartburg-Shepherding Sheep Camp, Camper Applications open NOW – Shepherding Sheep Camp Application Here ~ Specialized Youth and Adult Overnight Camp for ages 10-65+, Waterloo, ILL. The Shepherding Sheep Program at Camp Wartburg is an experience designed to get youth and adults with disabilities outdoors in an environment of interaction with others. Non-Specialized Overnight Camps 2026

These programs serve primarily children without disabilities. Services vary by location so talk with the camp about your child’s support needs to ensure they are able to accommodate. 

Ben Frankel (Camp), Registering NOW – Traditional Youth and Teen Overnight, Benton, ILL – for youth in grades 1-11. Single and multi-week sessions from June 14-July 30, 2026. Cost: $995-$5,995 depending on length of session selected. Camp Ben Frankel’s mission is to create a welcoming, inclusive, lifelong community for Jewish children, teens, adults and families of all backgrounds.  Each week campers choose 4 electives from a combination of classic camp activities including games, performing arts, stem, outdoor adventures, and sports. We integrate Jewish life into all activities and welcome campers with disabilities, all cultures, all gender indentities, immigrant families, Jewish families, interfaith families, and more. Cub Creek Science Camp, Registering NOW – Traditional Youth and Teen Overnight, Rolla, MO – for ages 7-17, weekly from May 31-August 8, 2026 ~ $1,495 per week with early bird discounts available. With more than 300 animals and over 100 species, our overnight summer camp is an animal lover’s paradise. We offer animal camp, science camp, adventure camp, vet camp, nature camp, and traditional summer camp activities such as swimming, fishing, hiking, arts and crafts, and ropes course. Manitowa (Camp) , Registering NOW Traditional Youth and Teen Overnight, Benton, ILL (map)  – 1, 2 & 3 week sessions from June 21-Aug 1, 2026. Cost: $920 (5-day), $1,495-$3,595 for multi-week sessions. Located in beautiful Southern Illinois just 90 minutes from St. Louis, kids can jump in our lake, fly off the zip line, tie-dye a shirt, play Ga-Ga, hang out with their friends, get advice from their counselor, and sing and dance at the campfire, all in one day. We offer a small community of 75–125 campers so each child feels like they’re part of the Manitowa family. MO S&T Engineering and Science Summer CampsTraditional Youth and Teen Overnight, Rolla, MO – for youth ages 7-18. Cost varies by camp selected with weeks available in June and July, 2026. Younglife Clearwater Cove Summer Camp 2026, Registering NOW – Table Rock Lake, MO: Traditional Weeklong Overnight Youth Camp for youth in middle and high school. July 28 – August 2, 2026. Camp Circle Star Taking Applications NOW – Specialized Youth Day Camp with 2 Adult weeks, Hillsboro, MO. Youth supervised weeks, $600: June 15-19, June 22-26, June 29-July 2, July 6-10, July 13-17, and July 20-24, 2026; Adult ages 19 and older supervised weeks, $600: May 18-22 and July 27-31, 2026. Bring Your Own Assistant Weeks, $480: June 8-12 and August 3-7, 2026. Camp Circle Star specialized in summer day camp tailored to the campers with autism. Campers choose their own activities from many fun and exciting choices. We limit the size of our camp to about 14 campers each week, so as not to be too overwhelming for our campers. JCCA: Jewish Community Center, Registering NOW Traditional Day Camp with Inclusion Services for Disabilities, Creve Coeur and Chesterfield, MO. Youth in grades K-7, weeks from June 1-August 14, 2025. STAGES St. Louis Performing Arts Summer Production Camp – Chesterfield, MO – Registering NOW Specialized Tween, Teen, Adult Half-Day Theater Camp, all ages. Two week, half-day camp, Mon-Fri, June 6-18, 2026 from 1-4pm, Cost: $325. This camp is designed for youth and adults living with physical, cognitive, or developmental disabilities to perform a fully staged musical theatre production. Train Your Brain Camp (TYBC), Wash U, OT School, Specialized Youth Half Day Camp, St. Louis, MO – Registering NOW – July 20-27, 2026 for youth who have completed 3rd-5th grades, July 27-31, 20-26 for youth who completed 6th-8th grades (or equivalent). 9:00 am-12 noon & 11:30-4:30 pm sessions available at Washington University School of Occupational Therapy. We Rock the Spectrum Gym (WRTS) Specialized Youth Day Camp for children in grades kindergarten-5th grade (ages 5-11), Fenton, MO – Under new management – Registration for summer has not been determined. Summer camp is expected to begin in June, 2026. Tentative Cost: $80 per day with additional $20 per hour fee for 1:1 supports. Children enrolled in camp will participate in a structured day of gym playtime, games, crafts, and other activities. Wilderness Inquiry, Gateway to Outdoor Adventures for People with DisabilitiesWilderness Inquiry shares the outdoors with everyone, including people with intellectual and physical disabilities. Designed for adults with developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and other forms of cognitive disability, Gateway to Adventure (Gateway) is a program that helps people develop the skills they need to enjoy inclusive outdoor recreation activities. Trips cost $800-$1,000 depending on venue selected.

Road Scholar Trips (non specialized): These learning adventures engage expert instructors, provide extraordinary access, and stimulate discourse and friendship among people for whom learning is the journey of a lifetime. Cost ranges from $2,000-$9,000 depending on the trip location and amenities selected. These are non-specialized trips so travelers need to have adequate community safety skills or travel with a trusted travel partner.
